Ném Còn (Throwing Con Balls) is a traditional folk game of the Thai ethnic group during early-year festivals, symbolizing wishes for bountiful harvests and the flourishing of all living things.

At Nhà Của Bin, visitors can create their own colorful Con Balls in an immersive cultural experience with the Thai ethnic community in Pù Bin!

For Thai women, the Con Ball embodies both creativity and soul!

Using vibrant fabric scraps, they carefully cut them into squares, fold the four corners skillfully, and fill them with cotton or rice grains to shape the ball.

Each Con Ball typically has 4 to 8 segments, beautifully decorated with a variety of vivid colors.

The Con Ball’s string is made from fabric, soft yet sturdy, about half an arm’s length, and securely attached to the center of the ball. The colorful tassels, crafted from fabric scraps or yarn, are meticulously cut and arranged to resemble a “flying dragon” — a symbol of growth, prosperity, and abundance.

A Unique Experience at Nhà Của Bin

At Nhà Của Bin, visitors will be guided by Thai women who patiently teach the art of making Con Balls. Every stitch and seam holds a story, reflecting the rhythm of life and the cultural essence of the highland people.

This is not just an activity; it’s a cultural connection, where each handmade Con Ball becomes a meaningful keepsake, carrying the heartfelt blessings of the local people with you wherever you go!
