Mid-Autumn Festival 2026 – Sending a Season of Moonlight to Children in the Highlands

The Mid-Autumn Festival has long been a cherished part of childhood in Vietnam. It is a time when children eagerly look forward to colorful lanterns, mooncakes, festive gatherings, and an evening filled with laughter under the full moon.

With the hope of creating a joyful, warm, and memorable Mid-Autumn Festival for the children of Pù Bin, Green Capital Travel, in collaboration with Nhà Của Bin Community-Based Tourism, is organizing the charity program “Trung Thu Bản Em 2026,” under the message “Sharing the Full Moon with Children in the Highlands.”

Beyond providing practical gifts, the program aims to create a meaningful celebration for local children while connecting individuals, organizations, partners, and friends from different places who share the desire to contribute to the Pù Bin community.

Expected date: Saturday, September 19, 2026
Location: Pù Bin Village, Mai Châu Commune, Phú Thọ Province, Vietnam

A Special Mid-Autumn Festival for the Children of Pù Bin

“Trung Thu Bản Em 2026” is about more than delivering gifts. At the heart of the program is the hope of creating a true Mid-Autumn celebration where local children can come together, enjoy traditional activities, and create beautiful childhood memories.

During the Full Moon Festival, the children will take part in activities inspired by the traditions of the Mid-Autumn Festival, including a lantern procession, a festive feast, games and entertainment, balloon twisting, and an interactive program featuring the familiar Mid-Autumn characters Chú Cuội and Chị Hằng.

The glow of lanterns, a colorful fruit tray, mooncakes, laughter, and the excitement of children celebrating together may seem like simple things. Yet these are often the moments that become some of the most treasured memories of childhood.

Practical Gifts to Support the Children on Their Learning Journey

Alongside the Full Moon Festival, the program aims to prepare practical gifts that can support the children in their studies and everyday lives.

The planned items include coloring books, colored pencils, notebooks, pens, pencil cases, fresh milk, mooncakes, and Mid-Autumn lanterns. While each gift may be modest in material value, it carries the care, encouragement, and kindness of those who choose to support the program.

Through these gifts, the Organizing Committee hopes not only to bring joy to the children during the Mid-Autumn Festival, but also to provide useful items that can accompany them in their daily learning.

Sharing and Connecting with the Pù Bin Community

“Trung Thu Bản Em 2026” will also include visits to local families facing particularly difficult circumstances. The Organizing Committee will spend time meeting, encouraging, and presenting meaningful gifts to these families.

This activity reflects a broader direction that Nhà Của Bin continues to pursue through community-based tourism in Pù Bin: tourism can be more than an opportunity to discover beautiful landscapes and local culture. It can also become a bridge connecting visitors with the community and creating positive, lasting value for the places they visit.

Through every journey, encounter, and act of sharing, Nhà Của Bin hopes to gradually build a form of tourism in which the local community, its people, and its cultural values remain at the heart of every experience.

Together, Let Us Share a Full Moon with Pù Bin

A meaningful Mid-Autumn Festival can be created from the simplest things: the glow of a lantern, a new notebook, a mooncake, a festive fruit tray shared among friends, and an evening filled with children’s laughter.

Through “Trung Thu Bản Em 2026,” Green Capital Travel and Nhà Của Bin hope to connect caring individuals and organizations from different places and bring these simple joys together in Pù Bin.

Every contribution becomes a small but important part of the program. And when these individual acts of kindness come together, they create something greater than gifts or a single evening of celebration – they create a Mid-Autumn Festival filled with genuine care, connection, and meaningful memories for children in the highlands.

The Organizing Committee sincerely appreciates the interest, support, and generosity of all our partners, guests, organizations, individuals, and benefactors who join us in making this program possible.
